Island Def Jam Records and Roc-a-fella promote Downloading - Kanye WestHip Hop/Urban record labels Def Jam and Roc-a-fella are teaming up with Napster and to offer cyber consumers extensive new content the legal way.

Starting Tuesday, February 10, the digital download retailers will offer their customers added value content like videos, live performances, and extended access.

The first album slated to use this concept will be “The College Dropout” by Kanye West. Purchasers will receive an email from the retailer with a unique code and a link to Kanye’s website. There, they will be able to download bonus material like Kanye’s live performances, recording sessions with appearances by Pharell Williams, Mos Def, and Damon Dash.

Streaming video content can be accessed indefinitely and will be updated periodically by the record label.

More albums with the value added content are soon to follow.
