Over the week end rapper Chauncey “Loon” Hawkins was arrested and charged with attempted murder, after violence broke out at a party for Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz new adult DVD series. Hawkins has since been released on $1 million dollars bond.

The incident occurred early Friday morning at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, California, and involved Hawkins and two other men attempting to enter the night club. Police said that a group of men attempted to forcefully enter the club and in the ensuing altercation, the security guard was stabbed in the upper torso with an unidentified object.

Hawkins, along with two other men, were charged after the security guard identified them in connection with the stabbing. Investigators are still trying to determine which of the three men stabbed the security guard.
