An ad featuring Andre 3000 holding a pink smoking gun has been deemed irresponsible and offensive by Britain’s Advertising Authority, reports SOHH.com.

The BAA complained that the poster ad, which is also featured on the cover of Outkast’s LP Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, could be used to glorify the use of guns, but then opposed a claim that the poster reinforced racial stereotypes.

In Andre`s defense, his label, BMG said the ad doesn`t incite violence or anti-social behavior any more than promotional posters for Hollywood films such as James Bond and other action flicks.

BMG has yet to receive a consumer complaint about the ad from the UK since the LP’s release six months ago.

The Roots will be featured on a Pay-Per-View concert event titled, “The Roots Presents” in October.

The concert was recorded June 10, 2004 when the group performed at Webster Hall in New York City to an invitation only crowd.
